Meet Pam

Pamela K. Silva, LCSW, QCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
 

Pamela Silva (Pam) was born and raised in Hawaii.  From her childhood she felt compelled to help others and this soon became her passion.  Currently, she is working on providing neurofeedback and biofeedback services in her practice.  Her primary goal for her clients is to promote positive change or transformation in their lives and to help them improve their quality of life.

Pam’s work experience with psychiatric patients, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients, as well as with various organizations and other non-profit agencies, Department of Human Services-Child Welfare Services (DHS-CWS), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division-Department of Health (CAMHD-DOH), Army Community Services – Family Advocacy Program-New Parent Support Program, Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC), educational and personal life experiences, enhance her knowledge base.  She is also a parent of a special needs child.  She has various supervisory experience and has been working in the field of psychology and counseling since 1992, when she graduated from Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Minor in French.  She received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2001 and became a Licensed Social Worker in 2004.  She has been a Qualified Clinical Social Worker since 2008 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2009.  Pamela has worked with people of all ages, young children to seniors and she sees potential in each individual, as she understands the need for therapeutic services and the importance of progress and change in the lives of hurting people, much like the metamorphosis of a butterfly.

Pam has participated in a two month missions trip to South Africa and resided in Zulu Land and with various ethnic and socioeconomic populations, traveled to Brussels, Congo, and Canada.  She assisted in providing meals to the poor and homeless during the holidays, assisted in providing activities and gifts for children at Mayor Wrights Housing and was part of a planning team for community outreach.  She has also facilitated support groups in a church setting.

Pam is an affiliate of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
